The electrical contactor comprises two elements (100,200) mounted for relative rotation, and a flexible conductor (300) lying in a spiral formation linking the two elements. The two elements are provided with an elastic locking mechanism (140,240) for locking them in chosen relative positions. The locking is achieved by means of a series of inwardly projecting corners (140) mounted on the inner surface of a ring (118), engaging the diametrically opposed ends (240) of a central element (230) which forms an elastic tongue. The angle between the faces of each projecting corner is greater than 90 degrees, and pref. of the order of 120 degrees.
