PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate washing of the insides of respective steam chambers by providing drain ports in every steam chambers which are divided into a plurality of numbers and arranged along the carrying direction of a conveyer and connecting them to outer drains. ;SOLUTION: Tapered faces 44b inclined inward are respectively provided under partitions of steam chambers 44 and the steam chamber 44 has a funnel- shaped cross section in its bottom half. The bottom face 44c is lowered by one step, an inclined drain groove 46 is constituted in the crossing direction of a belt 41, and a washing nozzle 47a and a drain port 47b are respectively provided in the higher side and the lower side of the bottom face 44c. These washing nozzles 47a are appropriately connected to feed pipes which are not illustrated here and the drain ports 47b are connected to drain pipes 46b in such a state that several ports are collected into a bundle. In this way, drain ports 47b are provided in a plurality of steam chambers 44, respectively so that drain and washing produced in the steam chambers 44 are easily exhausted and gelatinized liquid of low-fluidity starch can also be easily exhausted with the washing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
