PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and surely perform check, by sucking gas on a ballast water surface to an upper deck to perform confirmation, in confirming whether or not an oil content is leaked to be mixed into ballast water in a double-hull oil tanker. ;SOLUTION: A device 1, for detecting the leakage of an oil part in ballast water in a double-hull oil tanker, is provided with a floating body 2 inserted into the inside of a sounding pipe 37 and to be floated on the surface water W of ballast water L, a suction pipe 3 provided inside the floating body 2 and prevented with a suction port 3a on the tip of the suction pipe 3, and a gas detector 4 for sucking gas on the surface of the ballast water L to the upper deck 36 via the suction pipe 3 to detect whether or not a combustible gas (x) is contained in the gas; and also holes 37a are provided on the appropriate outer periphery of the sounding pipe 37.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
