PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify respective processes and a facility, to provide an insulating layer having a thin coat and excellent uniformity, by providing a catalyst- containing electrodiposition coating layer, by using electrodeposition paint containing a catalyst for deposition of a plating coating, to apply plating treatment to the outer periphery of the electrodeposition coating layer, to form an electromagnetic wave shielding body layer. ;SOLUTION: In this electromagnetic wave shielding cable, an electromagnetic wave shielding body layer 6 is provided by coating the periphery of a signal transferable conductive body layer 1 by a catalyst-containing electrodeposition coating layer 2, containing a catalyst for deposition of a plating coating, and applying electroless plating treatment to the outer periphery of the coating layer 2, to form an electroless plating layer 3. Moreover, the outer periphery of the layer 6 is coated by a sheath layer 4.
