PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give no influence to a feeder or a hopper side even when an explosion or abrupt combustion occurs in a rotary kiln by providing a mist curtain forming means for forming a mist curtain in a passage between a double door device and a pusher and cooling an ignition medium. ;SOLUTION: After a space part 46 between upper and lower doors 42a and 42b is filled with industrial waste to some degree, the upper door 42a is closed and then, the lower door 42b is opened. Thus, the industrial waste in the space part 46 falls and is deposited on the floor part 24 of a pusher 20. After the industrial waste on the space part 46 falls, the lower door 42 is closed and the upper door 42a is opened again. During this time, water is always continuously injected from the injection ports 54 of a mist curtain forming means 50, so that all the inside of a duct 52 is covered with a mist curtain.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
