A rotary kiln type incinerator is provided to decrease volume of ashes by increasing incineration efficiency, to reduce energy consumption by increasing energy efficiency, to extend the life span of the incinerator by preventing wear and breakage of a firebrick, and to incinerate stably by restricting counter flow of incinerated material. A rotary kiln type incinerator(100) has a lifting brick(115) protruded inward and formed to be thicker than a firebrick(15) in a body(110) rotated unidirectionally by a driving source. The body is formed of a cylindrical hollow rotating structure by continuously and longitudinally stacking plural firebricks in a steel cover(14). An inlet putting incinerated material and a burner applying heat to the body are formed at a side of the body, and an outlet is formed at the other side of the body to discharge ashes. The lifting brick is protruded radially to forcibly move the incinerated material from the lowest part of the body by turning at 90 angular degrees. The lifting brick is protruded from the surface of the firebrick at 150 to 240 mm, and formed to be three times as large as the firebrick.
