PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable connecting device which can bring about a degree of freedom of a large movement in the cable direction regardless of an ordinary excess length of a connecting part between optical fibers. ;SOLUTION: An optical fiber cable connecting device 2 contains a support assembly having a side access port for fiber of a cable, a means to hold a connecting part between fibers and a means to wind an excess length left in connected fiber, and also contains two magazines 30 to house sagging left on fibers of both cables 1A and 1B.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
