PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent lowering of a numerical aperture caused by individual electrodes of a light-receiving-emitting part by performing prescribed arrangement of an odd- numbered impurity diffusion region and an even-numbered impurity diffusion region respectively of the impurity regions. ;SOLUTION: An impurity diffusion region 15 consists of a first region 15a and a second region 15b. Here, the first region 15a is used as a light-emitting part and in regard to the relation of the other impurity diffusion region to the first region 15a, it is arranged at a prescribed pitch in accordance with resolution. Here again, respective impurity regions 15 are arranged so that the first regions 15a of the respective impurity diffusion regions 15 may be arranged in a straight line. Since the first region 15a is made to be exclusively used by the light-emitting part, a constitution having no individual electrodes 17 inside the light-emitting part is available thus allowing prevention of narrowing an area of the light-emitting part caused by individual electrodes 17. A light receiving-emitting diode array chip with higher resolution and a light receiving-emitting diode array and a light receiving-emitting diode array using it can be realized.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
