CIPHERING SYSTEM AND CIPHERING SYSTEM APPLICABLE TO COMMUNICATION NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ciphering system in which the control of a ciphering key and the safety of the system are easily secured and the ciphering (including decoding) process speed is made faster. ;SOLUTION: This system is a ciphering system, by which the ciphering and decoding processes of original data DP are executed using idiomatic key data Ka and Kd which are based on an idiomatic key ciphering system, and ciphering and decoding of mutual certifying data are executed using open key data Kb and Kc which are based on an open key ciphering system. A transmitting side system 1 transmits transmission data DT composed of ciphering data DC that are ciphered by the key Ka and mutual certifying data DI that are made by ciphering the key Ka by the key Kb. A receiving side system 5 decodes an idiomatic key Kd (Ka) from the data DI by the key Kc. By the key Kd, the data DC are decoded to sender data DP (DD).;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
