PURPOSE:To enable immediate detection of abnormality in a control system of pressurized fluid and prevent occurrence of a defective woven fabric by measuring the consumption of the fluid, comparing the measured value with the preliminarily set threshold value and giving a warning in case of exceeding the threshold value during the operation of weft inserting using fluid jet from the main nozzle. CONSTITUTION:During the operation of weft inserting using fluid jet from the main nozzle, the consumption of the fluid is measured by a flowmeter equipped in the piping system arranged from the source of pressurized fluid to the above-mentioned main nozzle and the measured value is output as a pulse signal. On the other hand, a threshold value for the standard consumption of the fluid is preliminarily set in a setting unit and the consumption value by the above-mentioned measurement is compared with the threshold value. In case the above-mentioned measured value is beyond the threshold value, the stop signal is output to the drive control system of a weaving machine to inform occurrence of some abnormality such as operation failure of a closing valve, misset of opening and closing angles, nozzle clogging or pipe leakage in a control system of pressurized fluid. In this case a warning signal is given at the same time.
