PURPOSE: To effectively prevent deposition of a polymer scale on the inner wall and other parts of a polymerizer by using a scale deposition inhibitor obtained by mixing an aromatic compound or dye having a specific group with an alkali metal salt and ammonium salt of poly(vinylsulfuric acid). ;CONSTITUTION: The title inhibitor comprises an aromatic compound and/or a dye each having at least one of a primary amino group, a secondary amino group, a tertiary amino group, a quaternary ammonium group, and an azo group and at least either of an alkali metal salt and ammonium salt of poly(vinylsulfuric acid).
