PURPOSE: To display picture information other than a telephone number guide in matching with the form of use of the telephone set in the telephone system in which the telephone number guide is displayed on the picture display device and a touch panel is used to designate the input of automatic dial. ;CONSTITUTION: The telephone system is provided with a device 3 such as a VTR supplying picture information other than that for a telephone number guide, and also with a reproduction signal changeover circuit 8 used to select picture information VA relating to a number guide or other picture information VB for a picture signal V fed to a picture display device 6 and with a state control section 11 outputting a switching control signal 11c to the reproduction signal changeover circuit 8 based on the picture switching input from a touch panel 9 or on the operating state of a telephone set 12.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
