PURPOSE: A communication terminal device displaying functions to be executed while talking over the telephone and a method therefor are provided to effectively use a communication terminal device by automatically guiding functions to be executed while talking over the telephone and to realize a communication terminal device operation environment to user's taste by selecting the functions. CONSTITUTION: A display unit(120) displays an operational state and external input items. A memory(140) stores and manages operation information including supplementary function information and a function list of a communication terminal device to be executed while talking over the telephone(100). If an operation mode of the communication terminal device(100) is converted into a call mode from a call standby mode, a main processing unit(110) automatically reads the function list for displaying the function list at the display unit(120).
