PURPOSE:To improve sensitivity and durability by incorporating a specific polysilane compd. into the photoreceptive layer of the electrophotographic sensitive body having the photoreceptive layer on a conductive base. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body has the photoreceptive layer formed by using the polysilane compd. which is expressed by formula I and has 6000 to 200000 weight average mol. wt. In the formula I, R1 denotes 1 or 2C alkyl group, R2 denotes 3 to 8C alkyl group, etc.; R3 denotes 1 to 4C alkyl group; R4 denotes 1 to 4 alkyl group; A, A' are respectively 4 to 12C alkyl group, etc.; n and m are the molar ratio indicating the respective nonomer numbers to the total monomer in the polymer where n+m=1 and 0n=1, 0=m1. The sensitivity, the durability and the stability to an environmental change are improved in this way.
