PURPOSE:To prevent the rise of the highlight potential after repeated electrification and exposure by providing a protective layer containing a ultraviolet ray absorbent with the maximum absorption in a specific range on the surface of an exposure light source side. CONSTITUTION:Three layers consisting of a charge generation layer 4, a polysilane layer 3 made of a charge transporting material, and a protective layer 1 absorbing ultraviolet rays are laminated in this order on a conducting base 6 to constitute a photoreceptor for the exposure from a photosensitive layer side. Benzotriazole and thiazolidone are used for a ultraviolet ray absorbent 2. The protective layer 1 absorbing the light is provided in the range 250-360nm on the surface of the exposure light source side of an electrophotographic photoreceptor containing at least polysilane. The decomposition of polysilane molecules is prevented, and the rise of highlight potential in repeated use can be prevented.
