PURPOSE: To effectively and easily carry out painting and repainting work of road mark with a single device by opening and closing a shutter for line marks and a shutter for rib marks respectively. ;CONSTITUTION: When a change-over lever for a shutter and a change-over lever for a rib are turned ON and a carriage 8 is moved in the arrow X direction, detection wheel 34 for the rib is rotated by a rotating wheel 32 and a variable cam 39 installed on a rotation shaft 37 of the detection wheel 34 is continuously rotated. Consequently, when a rotor 53 for a limit switch 51 comes to be in the pushed up state by projected parts 40, 40 of the cam 39, the switch 51 works, a shutter 6 for rib marks is raised by an air cylinder 9 for the rib marks, an increased painting material 4 in quantity flows out from cutout parts 3a, 3b, the painting material 4 provided on a shutter 3 for line marks flows and forms a new rib part 97a, and when the rotor 53 of the switch 51 is in the non-pushed up state, the shutter 6 drops, the cutout parts 3a, 3b are closed and only a flat line is formed, and in the same way, a new line 97 having the new rib part 97a for each specified pitch is formed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
