PURPOSE:To enable application of an indication line with an excellent visualability on a road surface by spontaneously opening discharge ports through operation of needle valves for forming hot-melt material pressurized on a road surface, and then spraying colored glass beads thereon and fixing same thereto. CONSTITUTION:A device for discharging hot-melt material pressurized in a tank 2 through controlling of needle valves 6 with air cylinders is installed with the discharge ports 7 being directed downwards. While the device is moved along a road surface 12 at a fixed speed the needle valves 6 are operated to open the ports 4 spontaneously. Then proper selection of the sizes, form and opening time of the valves 6, material pressure and the moving speed of the device are carried out to control the sizes and distance of the projections formed on the road surface 12. Transparent or colored glass beads are sprayed and hardened on the surface 12 before the projections dropped thereon and stuck are not solidified. It is thus possible to apply an indication line with an excellent visualability and durability onto a road surface.
