IMPROVED BARIUM SULFATE CONTRAST HAVING LOW VISCOSITY AND HIGH CONCENTRATION AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF

The contrast medium was prepared by addition of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose(CMC-Na) having a viscosity of 20- 50 cps and a concentration of 1.0- 2.2 % as a suspending agent and 0.04- 0.25 % of sodium polyphosphate 80 as a stabilizer of the barium sulfate. Thus, 70 % of barium sulfate, 1,0- 2.2 % of CMC-Na, 0.03 % of silicon resin, 0.0375 % of asphartame, 0.05 % of sodium glutamate, 0.01 % of citric acid, 0.09 % of p-oxypropylbenzoate, 0.04- 0.25 % of sodium polyphosphate or polysorbite 80 and perfume were mixed in purified water to give the contrast medium.
