DEVICE FOR MEASURING INTENSITY OF ELECTROSTATIC AND QUASI-STATIC FIELDS

FIELD: electric measuring technology. SUBSTANCE: device is meant for continuous measurement of intensity of electrostatic and quasi-static fields. It has sensor 1 of electric field manufactured in the form of flat capacitor, commutator 2 connected to discharging resistor 3, DC amplifier 4, peak detector 5, adder 6, storage 7, register 8 and control unit 9. With periodic short-time connection of sensor 1 to discharging resistor 3, the latter forms pulses which amplitude is proportional to increment of intensity of electric field for commutation period and is summed in sequence forming voltage changing in step across input of register 8 displaying changing value of intensity of measured electric field. Increased precision of measurements is achieved thanks to exclusion of effect of self-discharge of sensor 1 during long-term measurements. EFFECT: increased precision of measurements. 5 dwg
