FIELD: technique of electron beam welding of cylindrical and spherical articles. SUBSTANCE: parts 1 to be welded are assembled in rotary jig 2 whose rotation axis Z1 may be inclined relative to axis Y. At rotating jig around axis Z1 and manipulator 3 around axis Z2, point "Б" of maximum shift of but 4 relative to beam 5 is determined. Points "В Г" are marked symmetrically relative to said point "Б Г" on butt to be welded. Distance between points "Б" should be equal to (0.2-0.3) Dout, where Dout-outer diameter of welded butt. At final stage electron beam is matched with butt plane by changing working distance r between article and gun 6. In the result shift of point "Б" is determined. Said shift is eliminated by rotating gun 6 and moving it linearly. EFFECT: enhanced quality of welded joints due to increased accuracy of coinciding electron beam with butt plane. 5 dwg
