Short inking unit for inking a 'waterless' planographic printing plate

The short inking mechanism (12) is for an offset rotary printing machine which is provided with a plate cylinder (6) with a waterless flat printing plate (8). It comprises at least one application roller (13,14), an ink conveyor roller (16) and a ductor device (17) working in conjunction with the ink conveyor roller. The ink conveyor roller is a grid roller with a surface temp. greater than (30[deg]C). Two application rollers are provided and they, the grid roller and the flat printing plate (8) are arranged in contact with each other.
