Ultrasonic flow meter for liquid and gaseous media with ultrasonic converters

The ultrasonic flowmeter is provided with a circular measuring duct (6), which is so designed that a multiple traverse of sound in the measuring duct results. The circular ring-shaped measuring duct is provided with opening-out supply and discharge slits (8,9), preferably on opposite sides, and inclined to the longitudinal axis. The slits are curved. The inlet connection stub (2) of the cylindrical measuring housing (1), the inner chamber (5) of the measuring duct and the discharge connection stub (3) of the measurement chamber are connected with a ring-shaped collection duct (7) surrounding the measuring duct. An electronic evaluation unit is provided for the measuring signals of the ultrasonic converter.
