Rotary hay tedder tined angle adjuster using ground-wheels as bearers and probes - involves offset wheel on crank axis adjustably joined to wheel support off rigid bearer arm for in situ angle change
A rigid bearer arm (18) between each centre rotor (11) is connected to an adjoining wheel support (20) fitted at its free end with an eccentric crank axis (23). The axis can be fixed in place to rotated and is fitted on the far side with the ground-wheel (13), the wheel support and axis being so connected as to admit several swivel positions. The ground-wheel is offset to one side of the tined rotor gearing (16) and the rigid bearer arm is fitted underneath the rotor gearing with its connected wheel support and crank axis etc. To adjust the angle of the rotor, a plug setting the relative position of the crank and support has to be removed sot he axis can be twisted round into the desired position, applying load to the ground-wheels but without raising these, followed by renewed plug insertion in the new setting.
