PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mitigate the burden of translating operation by flexibly translating a preposition. SOLUTION: A preposition registration table 3 shows constitution functions and equivalents as indexes for an arbitrary preposition, the object word or phrase of the preposition, and the modification destination word or phrase of the preposition phrase, and also shows their whole translation and whole function. A preposition information reflection part 5 when supplied with the arbitrary preposition and words or a phrase constituting the preposition phrase containing at least the preposition performs retrieval from the preposition registration table 3 and outputs an translation of the preposition. For translation processing, a translation part 1 performs the processing on the basis of the translation of the preposition outputted by the preposition information reflection part 5.
