PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a suitable impregnation treatment for a wood without crystallizing of a silica dissolved when the liquid is at an ordinary temperature and keeping a supersaturated state by adding the silica to water to inject a methane gas to dissolve under an ordinary temperature or heated. ;SOLUTION: A predetermined amount of water and a silica powder are housed in an autoclave (a heat resistant.a pressure resistant reaction container) and methane gas are injected to seal to heat from ordinary temperature to preferably a specific constant temperature. The solubility of the silica solution at ordinary temperature is approximately in proportion to a preset temperature. That is, the solubility of the silica linearly increases with the upward movement of the treatment temperature at a temperature of approximately 100°C-360°C and the solubility thereof reversely decrease at a temperature of approximately 360°C or more. As the use application of the silica supersaturated water solution is valid as a water solution, so the maximum concentrated solution thereof is required to be produced even if the silica supersaturated water solution is used by diluting to an optimum concentration. The heating temperature thereof is preferably of the order of 300-360°C. The silica supersaturated water solution with a fire retardant effect for wood treatment can be obtained by stirring after heating and cooling to ordinary temperature after continuing to stir for a constant time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
