PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control apparatus accurately and automatically counting the number of fluorescent lamps by kinds sent to a fluorescent lamp-crushing mechanism to be crushed. ;SOLUTION: When lamp tubes are charged in the supply chute 21 of a fluorescent lamp tube crusher 10, regardless of the dimensions of the lamp tubes, the sensing switch 24 in the chute 21 sends a count signal to the corresponding counter immediately and generates a suppression signal preventing that a second count signal is applied to a counter within a definite time longer than the time required in the grinding of a first dimension tube but shorter than the time required in the grinding of a tube having a larger dimension. When a tube having a large dimension is sensed after the definite time is elapsed, the second signal is applied to the counter.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
