METHOD AND DEVICE FOR REMOVING SALT CONTENT FROM SEA SAND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drastically reduce water and the period of time required for remov ing the salt content when washing sea with water by forcibly sucking washing water from the bottom part of a pool. ;SOLUTION: Sea sand S is placed on a water-passable tank 14 consisting of gravel, a drain material and the like and water is sprinkled over the sea sand by a shower device 12. The shower device 12 is not specially limited. Water sprinkled from the shower device 12 falls downward from above between the sea sands S as shown by the arrows. At this time, suction pressure from vacuum pumps P is applied to the bottom part of a pool 11 through plural drain members 13 to make the tank 14 around the drain members 13 in a negative pressure state. And by this negative pressure, sea water falling from above downward through sea sand S is forcibly sucked. On account of this, salt content removing efficiency and falling velocity of washing water when passing through the sea sand S are doubled, allowing water and a period required for removing the salt content to be sharply reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
