PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for forming a solid fuel capable of recovering a highly pure flammable material by certainly removing a nonflammable material from the flammable material and providing a high energy solid fuel, and further capable of reducing the abrasion of a volume-reducing forming machine to enable a long period operation. ;SOLUTION: This apparatus for forming a solid fuel can form the solid fuel by breaking a bag of a flammable waste by a bag-breaking device 3, pulverizing the bag-broken flammable waste by a pulverizer 6, removing magnetic materials from the pulverized flammable material by a magnetic separator 8, charging the magnetic materials-removed flammable material to a vibration sieve 9 combined with wind power to separate a nonflammable material under the sieve from the complex of the flammable material and nonflammable material and a dust, sucking and collecting the dust containing fine flammable materials floated by the wind power by a collector 11, classifying the complex on the sieve into a coarse nonflammable material and a comparatively coarse flammable material by a wind power classifier 10, quantitatively feeding the classified flammable material through a quantitative feeder 13 to a volume-reducing compactor 15 to perform the compression and volume-reduction of the fed flammable material to provide the objective solid fuel by the softening and melting of a resin existing together at this step.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
