PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjusting method of the drape and handle of a woven fabric capable of obtaining woven fabric having a drape and handle different from conventional raised fabrics and surface properties such as inhibiting the generation of pilling notwithstanding a soft fabric. ;SOLUTION: A woven fabric 1 continuously passes through a rotating drum 12 and a needle roll 15 and the needles of the roll 15 innumerably impale the fabric. The fabric is then kneaded in a processing solution in a tank 21 of a caustic reduction device 20 installed with a water wheel 22 and a net conveyer 23, the woven fabric come out from the tank 21 is wound by overlapping on the periphery of a friction apparatus 30 by turning in midway so that the woven fabric of lower layer and the woven fabric of upper layer can move in counter direction to be mutually rubbed in wet process.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
