Mascara make-up cosmetic compositions containing at least one wax and cellulose derivate pseudo-latex

A mascara compsn. comprises: a mixt. of: (i) a pseudo-latex consisting of particles of a film-forming cellulose deriv. polymer (I), of average particle size 10-300 nm; and (ii) at least one wax having m. pt. 60-110 (pref. 65-100) degrees C. (I) is selected from cellulose ethers, nonionic cellulose esters and anionic cellulose ethers contg. carboxy functions, where the carboxylic acid functions are neutralised to a degree of neutralisation of 10-80% with a non-volatile base.
