BEARING ELEMENT TO SUPPORT MICROBIOLOGICAL FILM AND WASTE WATER TREATMENT REACTOR

FIELD: water treatment. SUBSTANCE: surface of bearing element that can move in water is partly protected from collision with surfaces of other bearing elements. Element is provided with canals and is also constructed to readily let pass water after formation of microbiological film on surfaces. Length, width, and/or height of bearing element exceed 1.5 cm, its protected surface exceeds 100 sq. m/1 cu. m of element volume, and area of canal cross-section in boundary region in direction to ambient medium constitutes at least 35% of area of boundary region in the direction to ambient medium of homogeneous body having the same dimensions. When bearing element is employed to treat waste waters in wood- working industry, content of suspended material is at least 100 mg/l as measured on filter. Biological treatment reactor contains tank with above-described bearing elements and encloses grating with cells lesser than size of bearing element. Grating covers bottom of tank and is separated from it by distance ensuring access into space under grating. EFFECT: facilitated replacement of bearing elements and enhanced process efficiency due to increased bearing elements. 14 cl, 9 dwg
