METHOD FOR AUTOMATIC SEGMENTATION OF CYTOLOGICAL MOUNT IMAGE

FIELD: computer engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves displaying cytological mount, which has at least one cytological object, on monitor, drawing at least one line which is part of board of cytological object image by operator, automatic detection of rest borders of cytological objects, displaying cytological object border, which has been detected in this way, on monitor. Operator's actions on drawing part of border and automatic detection of rest borders are run in turns in real time until border of cytological object is closed. Also method provides operator-drawn interruption of automatic detection, removal of part of drawn border image, which does not correspond to visually detected borders of cytological object, and continuation of drawing border by operator with subsequent initiation of automatic detection procedure. EFFECT: interaction between segmentation software and operator for localization of cytological object border and possibility of its correction by operator.
