The switch has a switch element mounted on a printed circuit board (10) for operation via a switch rod (20) upon depression of a pushbutton cap (21), fitting through an opening (29) in a switch rail (14) and spring-biased for automatic return to its original position. The pushbutton cap has an outer switch cap (25) covering the opening in the switch rail, which has a guide sleeve (15) at the rear, cooperating with a stop lip (27) and a guide projection (28) of the switch cap.
