New poly:cyclic phthalazine compounds (madura:phthalazine derivatives)

Maduraphthalazine derivatives of formula (I) and their salts, esters and amides are new. R1 = carboxyalkyl or carboxyaryl; and R2, R3 = H or acyl; provided that R1 is not optionally substituted carboxyphenyl when R3 is 1-8C alkanoyl.
