PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retard separating type sheet material feeding device of high reliability having stable paper feeding performance without generating double feed of sheet material with simple, low-cost device constitution and control constitution. SOLUTION: A sheet material feeding device has feed rotors 11b, 11b for delivering sheet material S stored in a stacked state in a sheet material storage part 100, and a paper feeding carrier rotor 50 and a separating rotor 192 for separatively feeding the delivered sheet material sheet by sheet. The paper feeding carrier rotor 50 and the separating rotor 192 are disposed at a nearly center part in the cross direction of sheet material orthogonal to the sheet material conveying direction. The feed rotors 11b are disposed closer to the outside in the cross direction of the sheet material than to the paper feeding carrier rotor 50 and the separating rotor 192. A sheet material guide member 381 is oscillatingly disposed on the upper reaches in the sheet conveying direction of the paper feeding carrier rotor 50, and the sheet material guide member 381 is put in oscillating action interlocked with the rotation of the feed rotors 11b.
