PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize a case part and a snapshooting device by a method wherein a space is arranged between a top board and the snapshooting device to install an X-ray image recording means with the size thereof different from an X-ray photographing/recording means and an additional X-ray image recording means is installed as required to take and record an X-ray image at any imaging position. ;SOLUTION: A cassette aid frame 12 is fixed in a space arranged between a grid 10 and a snapshooting device 6 having a split mask 11. After placed in the cassette aid frame 12, a cassette having a large-size X-ray film set therein is forced inward to be set at an imaging position while microswitches 203 and 204 are turned ON. When an instruction for photographing is sent from a console, a photographing is performed by the cassette placed in the cassette aid frame 12 while the snapshooting device 6 stays out of operation. This constitution enables easily photographing using an X-ray film of a desired size even when the X-ray film is taken with the size thereof different from the size of that set in the snapshooting device 6.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
