THREE-PHASE POWER SWITCH FOR STEPPING VOLTAGE REGULATOR

The 3-phase power switch is used in stepping voltageregulators, which are built-in in under load adjustable powertransformers. It ensures unified regulation in star-delta in aseparate oil vessel of the same diameter, having small overalldimensions, low weight and cost. The switch is convenient forassembly and disasembly allowing excellent access for control andrevision during production and operation. The vessel containsthree single-phase power switches (A, B, C), fitted on the samelevel at an angle of 120°. Each of them has a sector of insulationcylinder on the inner surface of which two main fixed contactelements (4) are fitted at an angle of 120° to 180°, and betweenthem there are two auxiliary fixed contact elements (5). The main(10) and auxilaiary (11) mobile contact elements have currentcarrying tails (14) which by means of flexible curent carryingconnections (15) are coupled to a common lead (16) in the spaceunder the overhead contact system. The three sectors (1) areconnected to a supporting housing (17) of the three-phase powerswitch. The mobile main and auxiliary (11) contact elements arefitted in canals (12, 13) on an upper (2) and lower (3) insulationplate and which in their periphery are connected to the respectivesector (1) for every phase, and on their external side they can bereinforced to the adjacent phases basically by means of insulationrings (18) and connection studs (19).3 claims, 4 figures
