The present invention relates to a bus system for providing interconnection within a building, wherein said system comprises a central control apparatus (2) which is connected through a bus (1) to decentralised appliances to be controlled (3) such as a heating system, domestic appliances or the like. The purpose of this invention is to create a bus system having a high level of flexibility and to use readily a television set as a control apparatus. To this end, a control software specific to the decentralised appliances (3) is integrated into each of said appliances.
