Method for preparing solid solution of layered perovskite material

A method for producing a solid solution of a layered perovskite material, in particular for use as a thin film for nonvolatile random access memory (NVRAM) and integrated electronics. The alkoxide-salt precursor solution allows precursor mixing at room temperature and also allows low temperature treatment of the finished device. The method allows for room temperature preparation of SBT and room temperature preparation of (1-x) SrBi ₂ Ta ₂ O ₉ -xBi ₃ TiTaO ₉ and (1-x) SrBi ₂ Ta ₂ O ₉ -xBi ₃ TiNbO ₉ .
