The suspension coupling has a preferably covered holding part mounted on the rear of the vehicle with a sleeve (10) for the removable attachment of the shaft (21) of a coupling rod (22) with a ball, the shaft and sleeve having matching connection and latching elements. An electrical servomotor (30) attached to or near the sleeve bidirectionally drives a threaded bolt (31a), which can be fed into the threaded bore of the shaft. An electrical switch is actuated as or after the shaft is fed into the sleeve and before removing the shaft, so that the shaft is fixed in the bore by the bolt in the operating position or is unscrewed into the extraction position by reversing the bolt's rotation.
