The vaporiser has the liquid to be vaporised supplied to a gap (4) provided between the surface of the sonotrode (1) and a further solid body (2), with a width which varies periodically with the sonotrode oscillation.The sonotrode is rod-shaped and acts as a longitudinal oscillator, or is disc-shaped and acts as a flexure oscillator, with the solid body spring-biased in the direction of the sonotrode. The fixed body can be provided by a further sonotrode which oscillates with an identical frequency in phase opposition to the first sonotrode.
