PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely judge each direction in divination by direction precisely centered to a target position on a sketch by providing a direction indicator in the center axis of a regular octahedral dial having a transparent part in the center. ;SOLUTION: A magnetic compass for divination by direction 1 comprises, for example, a regular octahedral case 7, a dial 8 having a transparent part 10 in the center and characters 9 showing directions around the transparent part 10, which is mounted on the bottom part of the case 7, and a direction indicator provided in the central axis thereof. With respect to the drawing of a house, for example, the center of the house is determined by a prescribed method, the compass 1 is fitted to the center, and the north of the characters 9 drawn on the bottom part 8 is fitted and fixed to the N-pole 4 of the indicator. The fortune of the house is judged from a prescribed first table, and the fortune of each direction is judged from prescribed second and third tables. When an adaptor having a regular octahedral cylinder part and a collar part consisting of a divided octahedral board is mounted on the compass 1, determination of each direction is facilitated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
