PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized rice tub type apparatus for molding a food capable of taking out a Sushi ball in the same motion as that in the case with a Sushi craftsman in appearance even by an amateur without making the actual state noticed by a customer and usable in a narrow place. ;SOLUTION: This apparatus comprises a Sushi ball molding machine A in the interior of a rice tub type container 1 so as to take out a Sushi ball from the upper part of the container 1. The Sushi ball molding machine A is obtained by installing a Sushi rice compression conveying mechanism 29 for pushing up Sushi rice from the lower side to the upper side, compressing and conveying the Sushi rice, a compression molding mechanism 33 for passing the Sushi rice pushed up and forcedly fed with the compression conveying mechanism 29 through a molding hole 33b, compressing and molding the Sushi rice into a prescribed shape and a cutting mechanism 35 for cutting the Sushi rice pushed up from the molding hole 33b to a prescribed length and forming the Sushi ball. The compression conveying mechanism 29 is formed by vertically axially supporting a screw conveyor 29a rotating so as to push up the Sushi rice from the lower side to the upper side and composed so as to form a spatial part 34 located in the lower center of the compression molded Sushi rice on the upper extension line of the top 29d of a conveyor shaft 29b of the screw conveyor 29a.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
