PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a near visual field light head supplying a signal with a high S/N ratio, increasing read out frequency of a replay signal, and facilitating cost reduction and array arrangement. ;SOLUTION: This head 2 is provided with silicon substrate 3 where a through tapered opening part 4 with a micro opening 5 is formed, a shading film 6 formed on a peripheral wall of the tapered opening part 4, a waveguide 7 formed from an opening edge part of the micro opening 5 along the peripheral wall of the tapered opening 4, a photo detecting element 8 receiving scattered light P3 generated from a mutual reaction between near visual field light P2 generated near the micro opening 5 and an information unit of a recording medium 1, and photo amplifying part 13 formed integrally with the photo detecting element 8 and amplifying a received signal from the photo detecting element 8.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
