PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motor type curtain opening/closing device capable of raising the thrust of a motor when a curtain is stopped by the repulsion of the curtain or an obstacle or the like in the middle of opening/closing. ;SOLUTION: Only one of a pair of left and right mover units 4a and 4b stopped in the middle of opening/closing is energized. In this case, the thrust of a linear motor is raised by applying a double voltage to one of the mover units and the inconvenience that opening/closing can not be performed or opening can not be completely performed since an obstacle is present or the thrust lacks due to the repulsion of curtains 5a and 5b drawn to an opening direction end part and turned to a folded state in the middle of opening 7 closing is evaded. Also, when timer time set at prescribed time elapses, since an energizing processing to only one of the pair of the left and right mover units 4a and 4b is automatically stopped, the situation that energizing time to the mover units 4a and 4b becomes long, a coil generates heat and the charge amount of a battery lacks is prevented.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
