PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically adjust trend graph display by calculating maximum and minimum values for time series data, calculating a display scale factor from the maximum and minimum values and displaying the trend graph of time series data with the display scale factor.;SOLUTION: A controlling part 1 fetches time series data for a process from a plant 2, stores them in a hard disk 3 and shows the time series data on a displaying part (CRT, etc.), 4. A maximi/minim means 11 calculates the desired maximum and minimum values of the time series data. A display scale factor means 12 calculates a display scale factor from the maximum and minimum values of the part 11. A display positioning means 13 finds a display position from the maximum and minimum values of the part 11. A displaying means 14 displays the trend graph of time series data in a desired time range on the part 4 with the display scale factor of the means 12 and the display position of the means 13.
