PURPOSE:To prevent peeling of coat by coating a thermoplastic food with an outer cover of a specific kneaded dough and a freeze-denaturing starch paste solution and frying in oil. CONSTITUTION:10-50wt.% liquid oils and fats (e.g. soybean oil) by margarine containing oils and fats in an amount corresponding to the liquid oils and fats is added to one, two or more species of kneaded dough selected from potato flake, starch and wheat flour to obtain a kneaded dough having 20-60wt.% total solid content. Next, a thermoplastic food (e.g. natural cheese) is wrapped by said kneaded dough to form an outer cover and the surface of the outer cover is coated with a freeze-denaturing starch paste solution (e.g. potato starch), then the surface of the paste starch solution is attached with bread flour, as necessary, thus fried in oil.
