Development of an artificial skin by culture of keratinocytes on a fibrin-based and human fibroblasts and method of preparing the skin for transplantation. artificial skin obtained by cell culture of keratinocytes on a gel base consisting of a human fibrin human fibroblast populated. This base allows very rapid development of keratinocytes, detected in the artificial skin junctional proteins that facilitate the subsequent success of transplantation. This artificial skin required to be used in the clinic, prior preparation consisting attachment to a solid support and a system that enables the transport to the site of transplantation without breakage thereof. The artificial skin described herein can be used for the treatment of major burns, chronic skin ulcers or used, by employing engineered cells, as the basis for gene therapy.
