A blood collection device comprising a formed additive paIticle formulation.The additive particle formulation is an improvement over available additiveformulations that are powder blended in that the components of the additiveformulation of the present invention are in each formed particle. The formedadditive particle formulation comprises a fluoride salt and an oxalate salt tominimize glycolysis and coagulation of a blood specimen.
