The invention relates to a method and device for consolidating the surfaces of rocky soils, especially for providing temporary protection for tunnels or the like in civil engineering and/or underground structures, whereby a dual component mixture is applied to said surfaces. One ingredient in a liquid form and one ingredient in a powder form are used in said dual component mixture. The two ingredients are conveyed separately from a storage container (1, 2) in a dosed or pre-dosed form and supplied to a mixing chamber (6) that is close to the place of application. The ingredients in a powder form are stored in a temporary storage tank (15) before mixing and are introduced into the mixing chamber (6) separately from the liquid ingredients via a dosing device, especially a fine dosing device (19). The ingredients in liquid form are, optionally, also stored in an temporary storage tank (31). The liquid ingredients and powdery ingredients are mixed under constraint at a mixing ratio of 2:1-4:1, especially 3:1. Pressure is subsequently built up in the mixing chamber (6) or directly downstream from said mixing chamber (6). The dual component mixture has only a short potlife and is conveyed at high pressure to an applying device (25) and injected or sprayed, particularly in an airless manner, to the surfaces.
